VeraTag for Galleries

Give every artwork a better handover.

Support artists, prepare stronger records and make the transition from primary sale to collector ownership more precise.

What this gives you
  • Give buyers a better handover
  • Protect the artist’s authority
  • Keep sale records precise

The authority for an official artwork record remains with the artist.

A shared standard

Good stewardship starts before the work changes hands.

Key artwork facts, the artist’s authority, the physical tag and the buyer handover should not live in disconnected systems. VeraTag is designing one permission-based journey around the artwork.

Across the gallery journey

The record should travel as well as the artwork.

From artist-authorised handling and artwork identification to the collector handover, VeraTag keeps each stage connected to the physical work.

Designed for the sale

A more professional final mile.

When access is authorised, a gallery workflow can help keep the object, record and owner handover aligned.

Before the sale
Review the artist-authorised record
At handover
Confirm the correct artwork and tag
After the sale
Support a private ownership invitation
Permission-based support

Useful to galleries. Faithful to artists.

01

Work from the artist’s authority

Access is intended to be explicit, scoped and revocable—not a separate route for creating unofficial records.

02

Strengthen primary-sale records

Support accurate artwork information and record the true final sale value privately for the originating artist and accepting collector.

03

Make ownership handovers clearer

Help the artist send the correct ownership invitation while the collector reviews and accepts it through their own account.

04

See only what is relevant

Gallery access will be limited by artist permission. It will not expose unrelated collector accounts, collections or private values.

How it works

A controlled gallery workflow.

  1. 01

    Receive permission

The artist explicitly authorises the gallery or representative to support selected records.

  2. 02

    Prepare the handover

Check the authorised artwork identity, its registration and physical tag status.

  3. 03

    Support the sale

Assist the artist with accurate private sale terms and the ownership invitation.

  4. 04

    Respect the boundary

The collector accepts independently, and access remains limited to the artist-authorised scope.

Private beta

What you can use now — and what comes next.

VeraTag is a narrow working product in controlled development. We make that boundary clear.

Available in the private beta
  • Explicit, revocable artist-to-gallery authorisation
  • Scoped access to entrusted artwork and custody history
  • Gallery inventory, recorded sales and ownership-transfer tracking
  • Permission-based collector invitations with independent collector acceptance
In development
  • Gallery staff and team permissions
  • Artist-approved gallery-prepared artwork drafts
  • Broader operational reporting and support tools
  • Native NFC verification
Questions

A little more clarity.

Can a gallery create an official record independently?

No. VeraTag’s model keeps original authority with the artist. Gallery access is granted explicitly by the artist and can be revoked.

Can galleries see a collector’s collection value?

No. Collector totals, other purchases and private acquisition analytics are not gallery information.

Is the gallery workspace ready for a live team?

The private-beta workspace supports one authorised gallery account. Multi-user gallery teams and staff-level permissions are still in development.

Can the same person have more than one role?

Yes. VeraTag uses one account system with role and permission-based workspace access rather than disconnected accounts.
